Fierro
This 140-square-meter restaurant design project in Mexico City draws inspiration from the early cantinas of northern Mexico, infused with subtle Western influences, while staying deeply rooted in its local identity. The concept is a modern take on the traditional cantina, combining rustic charm with contemporary elements to create a welcoming and immersive atmosphere. The space is dominated by rich wooden surfaces, from handcrafted bar counters to textured wall panels, which evoke a sense of authenticity and warmth. Mood lighting enhances the cozy, intimate vibe, casting soft glows over the meticulously designed interiors. Exposed beams, vintage-style accents, and a mix of rough and polished materials give the space depth and character, while nods to the region’s cultural heritage are woven into every detail. This modern cantina balances heritage and innovation, offering a unique gathering place for patrons to experience the heart of northern Mexico with a modern twist.
